Master of Divinity (M.Div)

The M.Div examines a wide range of areas that graduates will put to use in fulfilling God's mission, whether in the day-to-day calling of a pastor or in the life of a missionary crossing cultural lines to share Christ.

Master of Religion (M.A.R.)

The M.A.R. offers more flexibility than the M. Div, with a large portion of the degree coming from elective hours. Students can tailor this degree to their interests and future goals.

Graduate Certificate of Christian Studies

The G.C.C.S. is intended for students who desire to have a deeper understanding of the Christian faith and would like to be  further equipped for lay ministry in the church or within the community at large.

See What’s Our Students are saying:

When I first enrolled at Urbana Seminary, I didn’t think much about my ministry context changing over the course of my life. But in hindsight, I believe the foundation from UTS helped me gain the confidence to be flexible and able to shift ministry contexts in a way that has blessed my life and family.

Fred Kristein, MAR Alumnus

“Thanks to Urbana Theological Seminary, I have learned more about the Bible, theology, and church history over the past six or seven years than I had in the previous 50-some years. I only wish I hadn’t waited until I was almost 60 years old to start taking classes.

Doug Peterson

"UTS has brought a new level of enjoyment and depth into my discipline studying the Word and learning more about God. As I better understand the overarching story of the Bible, I’ve been resourced with how to dive deep into a passage, and how to navigate the theological waters of interpretation and application."

Nick Modrzejewski, Pastor and M.A.R. alumnus
