TASTE OF SEMINARY

The Taste of Seminary lectures are a space where our faculty share fresh insights in their areas of expertise and help set the table for meaningful conversation about faith and culture. On October 13th, Dr. Green offers our third of four evening lectures (7:00–8:30 p.m.) at the Champaign Public Library, each followed by an open Q&A. The twentieth century saw the rise of a whole new genre of storytelling: the comic book. This Taste of Seminary talk will explore the rise of comic books, the backlash against them in the 1950’s, and evangelical publishing’s interest in the genre.
