We are…
an interdenominational graduate school of theology which seeks to be thoroughly Christ-centered and well-grounded upon the foundation of the Bible as the revealed Word of God.
Why Urbana Theological Seminary?
Our Values
We strive to allow students to openly engage with perspectives different from our own while holding Scripture as our trustworthy foundation.
Personalization
Get the education you need to fulfill what God has called you to do. Â We accomplish this with our small class sizes and faculty seeking to serve and teach each student based on their needs.
Formation in Christ
We form students for service to the whole world: serving Christ–whoever you are, wherever you’re headed.Â
Affordable
Follow where God is leading you without the burden of debt. Â We keep our prices affordable and have many scholarship and work study options.
A degree for every kind of student
Whether you’re aspiring to become a pastor, or missionary, lead a local Bible study, or minister in your secular vocation, we have a program tailored for you. Choose from flexible learning options including online, in-person, or hybrid to fit your schedule and needs.

Master of Divinity (M.Div)
The M.Div examines a wide range of areas that graduates will put to use in fulfilling God's mission, whether in the day-to-day calling of a pastor or in the life of a missionary crossing cultural lines to share Christ.

Master of Religion (M.A.R.)
The M.A.R. offers more flexibility than the M. Div, with a large portion of the degree coming from elective hours. Students can tailor this degree to their interests and future goals.

Graduate Certificate of Christian Studies
The G.C.C.S. is intended for students who desire to have a deeper understanding of the Christian faith and would like to be further equipped for lay ministry in the church or within the community at large.
